Useful participation earns points.
Points are Qwry's reputation score. They recognize published contributions, helpful feedback from other members, and regular participation. They are not money, cannot be purchased, and do not make every statement by a high-point contributor automatically correct.

Awarded to the author of the upvoted question or answer.
Have an answer accepted
Awarded while that answer remains the accepted response.
Drafts, rejected submissions, and duplicate questions do not earn publication points. Casting a vote does not earn points; only the author of an eligible upvoted contribution can receive them.
Daily sign-in streaks
A successful sign-in can earn points once per Qwry calendar day, measured in Central Time. The daily award grows with consecutive days and reaches its maximum on day seven.

From day seven onward, each consecutive daily sign-in earns +7. Missing a calendar day resets the next award to +1. Repeated sign-ins on the same day do not create additional points, and the server—not the member's device clock—sets the date.
How Qwry prevents point and vote gaming
- Members cannot vote on their own questions or answers.
- Each account can hold only one vote on a particular contribution. Changing that vote updates the existing record.
- An upvote can generate points only from an active, verified account that is at least 24 hours old.
- One voter can generate at most 10 upvote points per day for the same author.
- An author can gain at most 40 points from upvotes in one day. Votes beyond the cap still affect the visible vote total, but not reputation.
- New votes are rate-limited. Coordinated voting, vote trading, additional accounts, or any attempt to manufacture reputation can result in reversed points and account restrictions.
Points can be reversed or corrected
Each award has one deduplicated ledger record. If an upvote changes to a downvote, its +2 award is removed rather than duplicated. If an accepted answer changes, the old award is removed and the new accepted answer receives it. Publication points become inactive when the associated question or answer is archived or removed.
Qwry may correct reputation affected by abuse, technical errors, or moderation decisions. Downvotes do not directly subtract additional points; they only remove an upvote award when a voter changes an existing vote.
Reputation levels
Profiles display a member's current point total. Members begin at the standard level, become established at 20 points, and reach trusted contributor status at 100 points. These labels are participation signals, not professional credentials or guarantees of accuracy.
Point rules may be adjusted when needed to protect fairness. Material changes will be reflected on this page. Questions about a score can be sent through the contact form.
