Usually it’s just a propagation lag, not a sign that the new site name only works on the homepage. Google chooses site names automatically for each result, and its own docs say internal pages can take time to be recrawled and processed after the homepage starts showing the preferred name. Make sure the homepage has one valid `WebSite` entry with your preferred `name` and canonical homepage URL, and that the same name is used consistently in the homepage title, visible branding, and `og:site_name`. Then request a recrawl of the homepage in Search Console and give the internal URLs time to catch up. If it still sticks after a few weeks, check that you don’t have conflicting old branding, duplicate homepage versions, or a different subdomain involved.
