Why does YouTube say "Processing will begin shortly" after I upload a video?

That usually means the file made it to YouTube, but YouTube hasn’t started converting it yet. Give it a little time first — longer, higher-resolution, higher-frame-rate videos can take much longer, and traffic or a flaky upload connection can slow things down too. If it’s still sitting there after a few hours, make sure the original plays normally on your device, then try uploading it again from YouTube Studio in a browser. Re-exporting the video in a standard supported format can help if the same file keeps hanging. Also check that your app or browser is current and your upload connection is stable. Don’t keep deleting and re-uploading immediately; one clean retry after waiting is the better test.
