Yep — you can keep those `?replytocom=` URLs out of Google, but don't just strip that parameter from the actual Reply links. WordPress core uses `replytocom` to identify the comment being replied to, so removing it without a replacement can make a reply open as a new top-level comment or leave the form in the wrong place. The safe approach is to keep normal threaded-comment behavior for visitors, make sure the clean post URL is the canonical one, and redirect old parameter URLs only if you've tested that a redirect still preserves the selected reply (usually with theme or JavaScript handling). For search cleanup, use the canonical/redirect route rather than blocking those URLs in `robots.txt`; Google needs to crawl a duplicate to see the canonical or redirect. Test Reply links on a post with nested comments, including with JavaScript disabled if that matters for your site.
