Why do my YouTube Shorts views show in real time but not in Analytics yet?

Usually that’s normal. YouTube says Realtime activity is an estimate of potential view activity, so it can differ from the numbers that land in Analytics after its checks and processing. New uploads can also take a little time to populate fully, and some Analytics data can lag by days. Give it at least a day or two before treating it as a reporting problem, then compare the same date range in Studio’s Shorts view. Also, YouTube changed public-view counting across formats in August 2026, so make sure you’re comparing the same metric rather than Realtime estimates against an engaged-view or monetization metric.
